You will be spoilt with choice!
We live about 10 minutes walk
from a village called 'le Guedeniau'. Around the village square you can
find a bar/restaurant, called 'le Brocard', where you can enjoy good quality
French food. We also have a good bakery/patisserie famous for its giant croissants!
The village has a pretty church,
a public garden bordering a large pond, home to ducks and otters - with a log
cabin and barbecue for public use. The
village is surrounded by 'la Foret de Chandelais', ideal place for picnics,
walking, cycling and horse riding facilities ... The forest is home to wild boars,
'chevreuils' (type of small deer) and other fauna. The nearest market
town of Bauge is situated approx 7 kms away. On its outskirts, you can
find an 18 hole golf course Golf
de Bauge Pontigne which offers water features in a unique design. Fishing
facilities, a public swimming pool and tennis courts are also situated nearby.

Fontevraud l'Abbaye was an 11th century monastery - for monks, nuns, lepers,
the infirm and repentant women - which houses the bones of both English and French
kings. We also strongly recommend
a visit to the smart university town of Angers , 45 minutes drive approx.
Angers, capital of the 'Maine et Loire', is a great benefactor of the arts

boutiques and is rich in historical buildings. For the car racing enthusiasts
of course Le
